FULL PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This is a very basic, lightweight utility belt. As such, best suited for light loads, but can also carry a moderate weight comfortably when supplemented with a suitable belt pad and/or harness. If you need a more rigid belt to support a heavier load or pistol holster, check out our Combat belt.
The body of the belt is double layered webbing, bartacked together to form PALS compatible channels for pouch attachment. There are no stiffening layers or such going on here, just two layers of regular webbing.
Adjustments are done using the buckle, with no hook-and-loop involved. The belt comes standard with a 2M FDR buckle. This is a good quality PA 6 plastic SR buckle, contoured to work nicely on a belt and truly good enough for most users. The buckle is very easy to replace with a AustriAlpin Cobra or such if you want to.
The adjustable webbing ends have pieces of One-Wrap to roll and secure them. If you truly hate using One-Wrap you can just use tape or get some of our elastic strap keepers instead.
PS: comes with a ~40 cm long piece of elastic cord, used to secure the bundled up belt and attach the product tag. Don’t throw this away, use it to craft something clever, such as elastic attachment loops for a harness!
Sizing
Available in two sizes, S-L and L-2XL. Each size offers a total of 60 cm (23”) adjustment range. This exceptionally wide adjustment range makes picking your size easy and guarantees you don’t have problems when using various belt pads or adding layers of thick cold weather clothing.
- Size S-L: 20 PALS channels, adjustment range 84 to 144 cm (33 to 56”).*
- Size L-2XL: 24 PALS channels, adjustment range 100 to 160 cm (39 to 63”).*
*The belt can be adjusted smaller than the aforementioned minimums by pulling the double layered section of the belt through the buckle. This side of the belt will not be quickly adjustable, but this way you can adjust the belt down to practically zero length.
